LISTEN ON: APPLE PODCASTS | SPOTIFY
Last year, I was diagnosed with ADHD and it was a life-changing diagnosis. So many things came up with the diagnosis: grief over what I went through, relief that I wasn't broken, excitement that I had a new way of looking at myself. It was A LOT.
In this very personal episode, I break down my journey - how the diagnosis came about, what it looked like, what I’ve learned along the way, and how I’m managing it now - in the hopes that if you, or someone you know, is wondering about what a late-in-life ADHD diagnosis can look like, this can shine a light on it.
In this episode, we talk about:
- What ADHD has looked like in my life and how it's shown up
- How I realized I might have ADHD and the process I went through to get diagnosed
- Ways that I've started to manage ADHD (and used what was already built into my life)
- Where ADHD trips me up and where it's really enhanced my life
- My decision to seek an official diagnosis and how I felt after
- How medication has affected my ADHD management and improved my daily life
